Meet The Committee

This is Nicki's 20th year on the CKD committee! That deserves an award. She loves to greet the community at the gate each night with her smile and sarcasm. As funny as she is, it's that heart of gold that has her coming back each year to support so many.

Geoff is the CKD chair and has been on the committee since 2011. Geoff's love of music is what first got him involved in CKD and his passion for the community keeps him involved each year.
 

Becky joined the Captain Kidd Committee in 2012. Becky is organized and keeps the committee in line... and nourished! Her love of the CKD keeps her active in many facets of the event including the parade and social media.

Alicia joined the CKD committee in 2013. She keeps the committee young... or pokes fun at our age! You will see Alicia managing the beer tent all weekend.

 

Brian began donating his time to the CKD committee in 2019. Brian is our jack of all trades. From picking up troughs from his previous co-workers at the firehall to beer runs and one of the Cornhole Tournament organizers. 

Steve joined the Captain Kidd committee in 2019. Steve is enthusiastic about sports and is the Stand Up Ball Hockey Tournament organizer. Steve keeps us laughing but when it comes down to business he knows what has to get done and shows up big.

Marianne joined the CKD committee in 2019. Marianne has been volunteering her time coordinating youth talent in various forms over the years.

Ashley joined the CKD committee in 2019. Ashley finds strength in people and those relationships help in securing sponsorship and coordinating our volunteers.

Darryl joined the CKD committee in 2020. Darryl is one of the organizers of our newly added Cornhole Tournament. Darryl's strong work ethic makes him a great fit for a variety of jobs around the park.

In 2021 Jay chose to donate his time to the Captain Kidd Committee. Jay is passionate about hockey and can be found reffing the ball hockey tournament and supervising the beer tent.​

Chantal helped with Captain Kidd Days for a few years prior to officially joining the committee in 2023. She loves capturing memories of the event through photos and creating means to keep the community informed.

Andrea helped with organizing the ball hockey tournament for a few years prior to officially joining the committee in 2023. Andrea has come to the committee with amazing ideas to increase community participation.

Michelle joined the crew in 2023. She can be "a big kid" at heart so being a Kidd Zone coordinator just fits. You'll see Michelle helping around the park with her trusty emotional support water bottle not far behind.

 

Denise is the most recent addition to the CKD Committee. Denise may be new to our committee but she is no stranger to community involvement and we are thrilled to welcome her.
